The combined market capitalization of Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) has fallen to $13.27 billion, a three-year low, as Bitcoin posts a 10 percent gain this month.

DOGE and SHIB, the two largest memecoins by market value, dropped a combined 2 percent in July. The capital flight from speculative assets coincides with a significant influx of institutional money into Bitcoin, which now carries a $1.30 trillion market cap.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs, approved in Jan. 2024, continue to draw inflows. Ethereum spot ETFs began trading in May 2024.

On-chain data show large institutional wallets accumulating Bitcoin while retail interest in high-volatility memecoins fades. Capital is rotating out of tokens driven by social media sentiment and into assets with established infrastructure and clear use cases—reinforcing Bitcoin's position as the primary store of value in the digital asset space.
