Odos, a decentralized exchange aggregator, will permanently cease all operations on July 30. The operating company announced the wind-down Thursday, ending a four-year run and closing out $104 billion in cumulative routing volume.
The shutdown removes a meaningful liquidity aggregator from the DeFi stack. Odos split orders across DEXs to optimize execution and reduce slippage on larger trades—a function that will now redistribute across competing aggregators.
The operating company cited "much consideration" in its decision but provided no further detail on the reasons for the shutdown. Users should close open positions and withdraw funds before the July 30 deadline.
Volume previously handled by Odos will flow to competitors including 1inch, Matcha and Paraswap. That redistribution may temporarily push up gas costs on some routed trades as those protocols absorb the additional order flow.
Odos operated across Ethereum, Polygon and Arbitrum. Its $104 billion in lifetime volume placed it among the larger aggregators by that metric, though the protocol held no TVL directly—its footprint was measured entirely through trades routed.
