Strive Capital purchased 79 Bitcoin for about $5.2 million, bringing its total holdings to 20,000 BTC. The acquisition prices each coin at $65,822.78.

That 20,000 BTC milestone reflects a disciplined accumulation strategy running since early 2024. On-chain data show Strive's wallets have added Bitcoin steadily over two years, with an estimated average cost basis near $58,000 per coin—meaning the firm is sitting on substantial unrealized gains at Bitcoin's current $66,000 price.

Strive's buying removes supply from exchanges. Exchange balances have dropped 18 percent over the past year, hitting their lowest point since 2018.

Miners collectively sold 8,200 BTC last week, but institutional demand absorbed that supply and prevented a deeper price correction. Strive is part of that bid.

The 20,000 BTC figure puts Strive in the same conversation as other major corporate treasuries. MicroStrategy holds over 220,000 BTC, setting the benchmark for large-scale corporate allocation to the asset.

Strive's accumulation fits the broader institutional shift following the Jan. 2024 approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs. BlackRock's IBIT and Fidelity's FBTC continue pulling billions in inflows, reinforcing sustained demand for direct BTC exposure.

Each acquisition reduces floating supply and applies upward pressure on price during periods of sustained demand. Large concentrated holders also carry risk—a sudden strategy shift by a major holder can introduce volatility—though Strive has consistently bought and held.

At the current pace, the next threshold is 25,000 BTC, which Strive could reach within two quarters depending on market conditions and capital deployment.
