NEW YORK — Integer Holdings reported Q1 revenue of $420 million, a 12 percent year-over-year increase, surpassing consensus estimates of $400 million. Adjusted earnings per share reached $1.25, outperforming analyst projections by 15 cents, driven by improved operational efficiencies and product mix. The medical device manufacturer also raised its full-year revenue outlook to $1.75 billion from its prior guidance of $1.70 billion.
Growth in the cardiac and neuromodulation segments led the strong performance, with sales up 18 percent and 15 percent respectively, contributing to 70 percent of total revenue. CEO Joseph Dziedzic said demand for complex implantable medical devices remains robust, particularly as an aging global population requires more advanced treatments for chronic conditions. He highlighted expanding applications in chronic pain management and cardiovascular health as key drivers for sustained, multi-year demand growth.
Piper Sandler maintained its Overweight rating on Integer Holdings, raising its price target to $110 from $95 following the earnings release. Analyst Matthew O'Brien cited the company's consistent free cash flow generation, totaling $85 million in Q1, and the upcoming Q3 launch of its next-generation battery technology as critical catalysts. This new battery offers 20 percent longer life for pacemakers and neurostimulators, positioning Integer for increased market share capture.
Integer Holdings trades at 22 times forward earnings, representing a premium compared to the medical device industry's average multiple of 18 times. This valuation reflects its leadership in high-growth niches like neurostimulation and cardiac rhythm management, where it holds an estimated 40 percent market share in power sources. Its specialized components are integral to devices from major original equipment manufacturers.
Despite strong results, supply chain constraints on specialty metals and electronic components persist, though the company has managed these effectively through long-term supplier contracts. Integer's strong balance sheet, with more than $300 million in cash and a net debt-to-EBITDA ratio of 1.5x, provides flexibility for strategic acquisitions. The company continues to invest approximately seven percent of its revenue into research and development, securing its innovation pipeline.
