Flap, a token launchpad on BNB Chain, recorded $1,183,980 in revenue on Aug. 1, according to on-chain data. That figure moved Flap past the Pump.fun ecosystem, which generated $1,103,266 across its launchpad, AMM and trading terminal on the same day.

The shift marks a change in the memecoin launchpad sector. Pump.fun had maintained daily revenues between $1.3 million and $1.44 million from July 27 through July 31.

Flap's revenue climb was rapid. The platform reported $28,343 on July 19, climbed to $541,637 by July 30 and reached $663,511 on July 31—a roughly 40x increase over two weeks.

The vast majority of Flap's Aug. 1 revenue originated from BNB Chain activity, with minor contributions from Robinhood Chain and X Layer, according to on-chain data.

The surge coincided with the redeployment of 币安人生, known as Binance Life, a memecoin. Binance co-founder Yi He previously posted the phrase on X, which drove a 3,000 percent price increase for the original token on the Four.Meme launchpad last October.

The original Binance Life developers introduced a new contract for the token on Flap in late July, according to CoinMarketCap. That relaunch coincided with the spike in user engagement and revenue on Flap.

Launched in June 2024, Flap functions as a programmable token launchpad. Unlike Pump.fun's flat-fee structure for token creation, Flap permits creators to implement trading taxes ranging from 1 percent to 10 percent, which can be directed toward community incentives, project treasuries or marketing.

DefiLlama calculates Flap's revenue solely from bonding-curve fees, excluding token taxes—a distinction that affects cross-platform revenue comparisons.

A risk for users on Flap involves dynamic tax rates. Trading tool GMGN warned that some tokens launched on Flap carry sell taxes configurable up to 100 percent, which would render those tokens unsellable, according to PANews.

Despite Flap's recent daily performance, Pump.fun holds a large lead over longer periods. The Pump family accumulated $31.4 million in revenue over the past 30 days, compared to Flap's $4.42 million. Lifetime revenue figures show the Pump family at $1.22 billion—including over $1 billion from the Pump.fun launchpad alone—against Flap's $52.3 million.

The PUMP token traded at $0.0022 on Aug. 3, down approximately 75 percent from its peak in September 2025, according to CoinGecko.

The BNB Chain launchpad landscape has shifted before. Four.Meme briefly surpassed Pump.fun in October 2025, but its daily revenue has since fallen to roughly $17,000, with Flap absorbing a large share of the chain's new token launches.
