Mauricio Pochettino will manage the U.S. men's national team through the 2030 World Cup, U.S. Soccer confirmed Monday.
Pochettino took over the USMNT in fall 2024. His original contract was set to expire after the 2026 World Cup. The new agreement extends his tenure four years beyond that.
Earlier this month, Pochettino confirmed U.S. Soccer had presented him with a contract offer, foreshadowing Monday's announcement.
The extension keeps a manager in place who has already established a system and worked with the current player pool across two World Cup cycles. The United States will co-host the 2030 World Cup, and Pochettino will lead the host nation's preparations through that tournament.
