WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump sharply criticized U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro on Saturday over her office's decision to drop a vandalism case, saying he disagreed "100 percent" with her conclusion.

Pirro's office had charged a former Olympic canoeist with vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, which recently underwent renovation. The case centered on damage to a newly installed pool liner.

In court filings, Pirro's office said the damage was "the result of flawed installation" — a finding that directly contradicted the president's public position.
