Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert secured the No. 39 spot on the NFL Top 100, his sixth straight appearance on the annual peer-voted ranking.
The placement is Herbert's second-highest career finish on the list. He climbed 17 spots from his previous ranking after a strong 2025 season.
Herbert finished ninth in the NFL with 3,727 passing yards and tied for seventh with 26 touchdown passes. He also posted a career-high 498 rushing yards, second among all quarterbacks.
Herbert led the Chargers to the postseason for the second consecutive year. His previous Top 100 placements were 56, 40, 32, 75 and 56; the No. 32 ranking remains his career high.
Other evaluations place Herbert differently. ESPN's annual quarterback rankings put him at No. 7. A separate assessment from NFL personnel ranked six quarterbacks ahead of him: Josh Allen at No. 1, Patrick Mahomes at No. 2, Matthew Stafford at No. 3, Joe Burrow at No. 4, Lamar Jackson at No. 5 and Dak Prescott at No. 6.
The gap between his peer ranking and those personnel evaluations captures the debate around Herbert's standing among the NFL's elite.
